Now gets 334cc engine found in other Jawa-Yezdi models and a number of chassis revisions.
The Jawa line-up has expanded with the launch of the new Jawa 350 at Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This bike replaces the ‘classic’ Jawa in the company’s line-up and has a number of changes over the earlier model.
New 334cc engine makes less horsepower than before
Looks similiar to the earlier model
Priced lower than Royal Enfield Classic 350
The biggest change on the Jawa 350 is the new liquid-cooled, 334cc, single-cylinder engine that is rated for 22.5hp at 7,000rpm and 28.1Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. While peak torque has gone up by 1Nm and is delivered earlier in the rev band, power has reduced by a significant 4.8hp compared to the earlier 293cc engine. A 6-speed ‘box is on offer along with a slip and assist clutch.
At 194kg, the Jawa 350 weighs just 1kg less than the Royal Enfield Classic 350, its chief competition, with its 13.5-litre fuel tank fully brimmed. Seat height stands at a manageable 790mm and the new Jawa 350 gets 178mm of ground clearance.
While the overall design of the motorcycle more or less remains the same, it does get some tweaks such as a new dual-cradle chassis, a longer wheelbase, and higher ground clearance as the motorcycle now sits 178mm above the ground
The Jawa 350 can be had in three colour schemes - Maroon, Black, and the latest addition, the Mystique Orange. The Jawa 350 rivals the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Honda CB350.
